On the 16th of October, in Larnaca, Cyprus, a pivotal event was organized by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute -CMMI, for the SeaTecHub project. This gathering brought together a distinguished assembly, including Cypriot partners, dignitaries, and stakeholders, each playing a crucial role in shaping the maritime landscape.
Among the esteemed attendees were Mr. Zacharias Siokouros, the CEO of CMMI, Dr. Ioannis Kyriakides, the coordinator of the SeaTecHub project and Marine Technology Research Director of CMMI, Costas Hatzipanayiotou, the General Director of the Department of Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment of Cyprus, Ioannis Typaldos, Director/Integrated Maritime Ecosystem Directorate of Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus, Dr. Kalypso Sepou, the Head of European Projects of the Research and Innovation Foundation in Cyprus, and Mrs. Theodosia Apostolou, Press Representative of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy.
The event’s mission was multifaceted: to inform, engage, and explore opportunities within the SeaTecHub project. Participants delved into project initiatives, discussed potential strategies, and identified avenues for collaboration. A significant aspect was soliciting feedback and engaging in discussions with stakeholders to comprehend needs and gaps in various sectors.
Post presentations and discussions, all Cypriot partners collectively reviewed the project’s progress, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that propels SeaTecHub forward.
