EMRA 2025: Workshop on EU-funded Marine Robotics and Applications

The SeaTecHub consortium proudly participated for the third consecutive time in the EU-funded Marine Robotics and Applications (EMRA) Workshop, strengthening its commitment to advancing innovation and collaboration in marine robotics. EMRA 2025 was hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), welcoming the community to Trondheim from the 3rd to 5th June 2025.

About EMRA 2025

The 11th EMRA Workshop brought together researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in marine robotics, discuss emerging technologies, and address challenges in sustainable marine operations. The event fostered cross-sectoral collaboration, with the aim of supporting Europe’s blue economy and the digital transformation of the maritime sector.

EMRA 2025 was made possible thanks to the support of:

  • Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)

  • Ocean Autonomy Cluster

  • The Research Council of Norway

  • Centre of Excellence MARBLE (CoE MARBLE)

  • FAITH Project

  • CLIMAREST Project

  • SeaTecHub Project

  • ILIAD Project

SeaTecHub Consortium’s Contribution

The entire SeaTecHub consortium took part in EMRA 2025, using this unique platform to:

  • Present the progress of the SeaTecHub project, showcasing our achievements in advancing marine digitalisation, robotics, and sustainable maritime practices.

  • Highlight the work of partner companies involved in developing smart marine systems, innovative decision-support tools, and environmentally conscious technologies.

  • Engage with the broader marine robotics community, fostering discussions on future collaborations, joint initiatives, and technology transfer opportunities.

In addition, the SeaTecHub consortium meeting was held during EMRA 2025. This provided an excellent opportunity for partners to review the project’s progress, align on upcoming activities, and strengthen the collaboration that underpins SeaTecHub’s success.
