The Consortium brings together 14 partners from 2 Widening European Member States from the Mediterranean region – the quadruple helix actors with expertise in the R&I innovation management, technology areas, and various sectors, have come together to establish SeaTecHub, leveraging collective knowledge and experience.
Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI)
Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) is a Centre of Excellence for marine and maritime research, innovation and technology development. CMMI’s vision is to drive sustainable Blue Growth by addressing the needs of industry and society within the spectrum of the marine and maritime sectors. It has 10 R&I Centers involved in marine observation, marine robotics, maritime digitalization, maritime engineering, marine and coastal ecosystems, maritime human element, marine cultural heritage, marine and maritime policies, regional cooperation, and underwater and seabed technologies. CMMI will be the coordinator of SeaTecHub, WP1 and WP5 leader. CMMI will exploit developed technologies based on blockchain to digitalise the strategy and build further research on that area. Similarly, it will exploit the MSP tool and the enlarged network to increase marine technology R&D and industrial capacities.
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER)
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) is part of University of Zagreb – the largest and oldest Croatian university. The Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST) is a research group within the FER and serves as the focal point for applied research and development activities in unmanned marine systems and technology for end-users. Its vision is to advance in multidisciplinary engineering research.
The Shipping Deputy Ministry (SDM)
The Shipping Deputy Ministry (SDM) is in charge of developing and implementing the Cyprus shipping strategy through the necessary horizontal policies. It is also responsible for the coordination of the Integrated Maritime Policy (Blue Economy) and the Maritime Spatial Planning according to national and european legislation, including the development of the National Strategy for Integrated Maritime Policy and the Policy Statement on Maritime Spatial Planning.
Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR)
Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) focuses on the sustainable management and development of fisheries and aquaculture and the protection and preservation of the marine environment. DFMR will be strongly involved in strategy and AIP development, focusing on strategic orientation and strategy evaluation. DFMR is interested in the digitalization in the maritime sector through technologies such as the MSP tool, IoT, and digital platforms for smart aquaculture and fisheries and new cross border funding instruments to support blue economy priorities.
Šibenik-Knin County (SKC)
Šibenik-Knin County (SKC) is positioned in the central part of Dalmatian coast, SKC encloses an area that encompasses the potential pilots: National Park Kornati is a marine protected area (MPA), aquaculture sites in the bay of Šibenik, Marina Mandalina as a smart port pilot, and a number of diving sites serving as underwater experimental test sites. SKC will be involved in conceptual design and preplanning, offering potential pilot sites. It will exploit the developed strategy on the regional level and the AIP for new opportunities for cross border funding instruments. SKC will exploit synergies between pilot sites and new technologies to create new businesses and attract talents.

The Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) is the largest Croatian business network. Focusing on its members, the Chamber provides a wide range of services aimed at strengthening the capacity of Croatian entrepreneurs and increasing the competitiveness of the entire economy.
GEOimaging Ltd (GEO)
GeoImaging Ltd is a geomatics and surveying engineering SME providing services in Topography, GIS, GPS,
Research, Drone 3D Mapping and Cartography. GEO will be involved in research activities related to developing the
MSP tool and in the R&I strategy development and outreach activities with a focus on the industry. GEO will exploit
the MSP tool by expanding personnel expertise and updating existing or creating new services and products.
Fameline Energy Ltd (FML)
Fameline Energy (FML) is engaged in activities related to Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy industries and offers a flexible and adaptive approach for project execution, dedicated to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. The firm supports exploration and exploitation campaigns in the East Med, and in the same time works towards development of green project for the decarbonization of specific sectors such as transportation and power generation.
Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI)
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is operating as a Federation of the District Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the five major towns of Cyprus, Nicosia, Limassol, Famagusta, Larnaca and Paphos, which have jurisdiction in their respective towns and districts. The Chamber is the organisation of the business people of Cyprus and apart from offering a wide range of services to them it promotes their interests and views to the Government and the Legislature. The Chamber's membership exceeds 8000 enterprises from the whole spectrum of business activity representing more than 95% of the business community of the country. More than 120 Professional Associations from the sectors of commerce, industry and services are also affiliated to the Chamber. One of the main areas of activities is the organization of training programmes. CCCI is an accredited VET centre in Cyprus. CCCI is additionally a member of Enterprise Europe Network – EEN since 2008, providing SMEs with information on EU related matters, legislation, assess to finance, etc.
The CCCI has a long-standing experience in participating in European Commission and other funded projects. It is the Chamber’s belief that such projects are an invaluable tool for acquiring experience and gaining access to sources of knowledge relevant to the interests of its member enterprises, be that of educational nature, training, research or hands-on experience, in fields ranging from e-commerce, gender equality, environmental management, cross-border business cooperation and so on. As such, the CCCI participates in European Union funded programmes which include inter alia the Interreg programme, the MED and ENPI Programme, DG Justice projects, the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme, Erasmus+, H2020, LIFE+ as well as projects funded by the United Nations Development Programme ACT (Action for Cooperation and Trust in Cyprus).
AKTI NGO
AKTI Project and Research Centre was established in Nicosia, Cyprus in 2000 by a group of experts in environment and sustainability. Over the past 23 years, AKTI has become one of the most active environmental NGOs in Cyprus, creating an extensive network of collaborators and volunteers in over 50 countries across Europe and the world. AKTI promotes and supports the development of a sustainable, equal, just, and inclusive society by (i) promoting environmental awareness and protection, (ii) promoting and supporting the development of a knowledge-based society, (iii) providing answers and tangible solutions to the island’s environmental challenges, (iv) transferring and pilot testing good practices, and (v) engaging stakeholders in actions supporting the implementation of the UN’s SDGs and European Green Deal for climate mitigation and environmental sustainability.
AgriFood Croatia (AFC)
Digital Innovation Hub ‘AgriFood Croatia’ (AFC) is a not-for-profit networked organization of Croatian research, public institutions, and private business with a common goal of co-creating and implementing technological innovations and implementing them in real life. The DIH acts as a one-stop-shop for innovation-related expertise, guidance, support and specialized services. It is the only Croatian DIH directly focusing on agriculture, aquaculture and food technological innovations, proving national and international partners with localized know-how and specialized excellence. DIH AgriFood Croatia facilitates strategic partnerships and enables cross-border collaboration opportunities for projects, startups and SMEs working with digital-based technologies, as well as serving industrial in implementing these solutions. Organization has experience in project management, especially in elaboration and development of project strategies and action plans. Furthermore, AFC has experience in gathering data, market research and collecting case studies, identification of risks, added value and other significant information.
20000 Leagues NGO (20kL)
20000 Leagues (20kL) is an NGO that gathers researchers mostly in the field of marine biology and focuses on encouraging and promoting marine ecosystem research and its protection, education about sustainable development and acceptable management of marine resources. 20kL will coordinate the citizen engagement activities and ocean literacy knowledge transfer in Croatia. 20kL will exploit the MSP tool for MPA and cross border experiences in the blue economy impact the local community and increase the impact on ocean literacy knowledge transfer.
Ministry of Science and Education (MZO)
MZO oversees the development of the science, technology and innovation system in Croatia, and the
application of scientific achievements, while fostering technology transfer from research organizations to the business sector and society, which is of paramount importance for SeaTecHub. MZO will be involved in strategy and
AIP development, focusing on evaluating the strategy and AIP. MZO will exploit the developed strategy on the state
level and the AIP for new opportunities for cross border funding instruments.
