CMMI and FER Represent the SeaTecHub Project at IEEE MARIS 2025
The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb (FER) proudly represented the SeaTecHub project at the prestigious IEEE MARIS 2025 – Advancing Maritime Innovation conference.
Bringing together global leaders in oceanic engineering, IEEE MARIS 2025 served as a premier platform to present pioneering research, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, and showcase collaborative advancements in maritime technologies.
Three SeaTecHub Presentations:
CMMI and FER delivered three impactful presentations based on research and results from the SeaTecHub project, each addressing key technological challenges in the marine domain:
- Detection, Classification, and Identification of Objects in Underwater Harsh Environments Using Machine Learning
Presented by: Dr. Fausto Ferreira (FER)
- Development of a Low-Cost Environmental Monitoring Buoy: A Case Study from the SeaTecHub Project
Presented by: Dr. Barbara Arbanas Ferreira (FER)
- Non-Linear Marine Spatial Zoning Through Particle Filtering
Presented by: Leonidas Ioannou (CMMI)
Reinforcing Blue Economy Innovation
