Kids Think Blue: SeaTecHub Beach Clean-Up in Cyprus

Taking action for a cleaner future! On the 26th of April, AKTI led the second “Kids Think Blue” SeaTecHub event in Cyprus, joined by 22 enthusiastic students from Geri High School for an unforgettable beach clean-up at Makenzie Beach, Larnaca.

Together, we collected 32 kg of waste, demonstrating the impact that even a small group can have on our environment. The students were particularly struck by the large number of cigarette butts, highlighting the importance of responsible disposal and awareness.

Key Moments:

  • Student Participation: Engaged and motivated students working together to clean the beach.
  • Waste Collection: 32 kg of waste collected, including hundreds of cigarette butts.
  • Awareness and Education: Students learned about the impact of litter on marine life and the importance of keeping our beaches clean.

Let’s keep the momentum going for a cleaner, greener future! We encourage everyone to join us in our future clean-up events and contribute to protecting our beautiful beaches and marine environments.
