On September 7th, AKTI’s 3rd SeaTecHub Citizen’s Club brought together 35 passionate volunteers to clean up Karnagio, Limassol. Among them was the Mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, who joined the effort to make a difference for our seas.

In just 30 minutes, the volunteers collected an astounding 170 kg of litter, proving that small actions can have significant impacts!

This event not only helped protect the environment but also sparked crucial discussions about ocean literacy and the significant role of citizen science in ensuring the health of our marine ecosystems.
